Five Decades of Collecting: The Hyde Collection Since 1963

This exhibition will highlight the diversity and scope of acquisitions made by The Hyde Collection over the past five decades. After the death of Museum founder Charlotte Pruyn Hyde in 1963, the collection has continued to grow primarily through gifts and bequests.

Sembrich Opera Museum. PLAY: “Chopin and the Nightingale” A dramatic reading with music for narrator, two sopranos and pianist which chronicles the newly-discovered romance between an ailing Frederic Chopin and the “Swedish Nightingale”, soprano Jenny Lind.
